What we collect when you message us or use the calculator, why we collect it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

When you message our WhatsApp number: your phone number, the name shown on your WhatsApp profile, and the messages you send us — including the options you tap in the menu.

When you ask for a price: the details needed to quote it — whether the policy is new or a renewal, the cover and class you choose, how many people it covers, and their ages or age bands. We keep the price we gave you and the date it stops being valid.

When you ask us to call you back: the phone number and name you type into the form.

We do not ask for, and do not want, your ID number, medical history, or bank details over WhatsApp or this website.

Why we collect it

To answer your question, to give you a price, and to call you back about it.

We keep a record of what was said and what price was quoted so that if there is ever a disagreement about a figure, both sides can look at the same thing.

You are talking to an automated assistant

Our WhatsApp number is answered by an automated assistant. It is not a person, and it will tell you so if you ask.

When you tap an option in the menu, your message is handled entirely by our own system.

When you type a question in your own words, the text of that message is sent to an artificial-intelligence provider so it can be understood and answered. Prices are never produced by the AI — they are looked up from the insurer's published rates, and any reply containing a price the system cannot account for is discarded rather than sent to you.

If the assistant is unsure about anything, it stops and passes the conversation to a person.

Who else sees it

WhatsApp messages pass through Meta, which operates WhatsApp. Their handling of them is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

The text of messages you type is processed by our artificial-intelligence provider, Groq, for the purpose of answering you.

Our records are stored with our database and hosting providers, who hold them on our behalf and do not use them for anything else.

If you decide to take out a policy, the details needed to issue it are shared with the insurer — Fidelity.

We do not sell your details, and we do not send them to anyone for advertising.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or message the number below and say so.

You can stop the conversation at any time by telling us, and we will not message you again unless you contact us first. We do not send marketing messages.

Deleting your details may mean we can no longer honour a price we quoted you earlier.
